Karen Wiggins, Director of Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, shares details about Covid protocol and the restriction of the performers wearing masks. Looking forward to upcoming summer events and the continued live streamed concerts via YouTube. Karen shares information on VBHS upcoming Drama Camp, Treasure Coast Wind Ensemble in June, and the VBHS bands need of used instruments and how to donate.

Guests:  Connie Cotherman, Marketing & Events Manager at McKee Botanical Garden, talks about the Bogo for Mothers Day (May 9) for all qualifying Moms.  May 15 is Community Appreciation Day in recognition of Alma Lee Loy, offering a special admission price. McKee is celebrating a 20th Anniversary this year and Connie talks about Alma Lee’s influence in the Gardens preservation. Upcoming McKee will be offering the Water Lily Celebration on June 9 and Summer Camp for kids are available. Adam Schnell of Ballet Vero Beach talks about the Ballets 9th season, and the Riverside Dance Festival.

Adam explains the evolution of Nutcracker on the Indian River at Treehouse Vero Beach  at a new event venue. The idyllic setting of Tree House Vero Beach will play host to this magical experience.  Riverside Dance Festival is on August 6 & 7, in partnership with Riverside Theatre, with the return of konverjdans. This truly unique troupe from New York City represents the pinnacle of contemporary ballet, artistic collaboration, and forward thinking dance making. Performances will feature the company alongside Ballet Vero Beach’s own resident professional dancers.


George Pillorgé of Gallery 14, artist and newest Gallery 14 partner.  George talks about the success of Gallery 14 celebrating fourteen years, and the installations of safety features during Covid.  George talks about his work in pastels and what attracted him to this media. The current exhibit of digital drawings by Rhett Palmer is on view through May 28th.
