Art in Public Places | Call to Artists

​Indian River Distillery and the Cultural Council of IRC are partnering to produce a special batch of product showcasing Ray and Mandy Hooker’s creative alchemy in their Indian River Distillery which will be used as a fundraiser for the Cultural Council in 2025.

This call is a Product Naming competition open to all.

​

There is a Label Competition going on which asks artists to create work suitable to be used as a 4”x4” label for our Vodka spirits.

​

The art is being exhibited as part of the Cultural Council’s Art In Public Places at:

Indian River Distillery

3308 Aviation Blvd.

Vero Beach

Thursday, November 21, 2024 to Thursday, February 27, 2025

• Visit the Indian River Distillery and think of a name that will fit for any piece in the exhibit . You will not know the label competition winner.

• Old Florida is the Theme.

• Avoid using locations such as Vero Beach, Indian River etc. in the name since there are existing competing company names.

• Register your name entry by the December 2, 2024 deadline.

• Submit up to five (5) names/entries to sheila@cultural-council.org.

• Include your name and contact info with your entry.

• Entries will be posted for voting at:

Meet The Artists Reception at Indian River Distillery,

Thursday, December 5, 3pm - 6:30 pm.

• Winner will be selected by popular vote…1 vote per person…

The winners will be announced and the product revealed at a special event at the Heritage Center on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4pm-8pm.

 

By submitting a name, you must agree to allow full usage rights of your name for the marketing and sale of the Vodka as well as other promotional and fundraising purposes with no further financial compensation beyond prize money. You will be credited as the literary winner wherever possible.
