The Cultural Council’s Art in Public Places program has been exhibiting works of art around the county since 2015. Our six venues include the IRC Courthouse, IRC Administration Complex, the Intergenerational Recreation Center, Vero Beach City Hall, Indian River Distillery, and Vero Beach Outlets Guest Services. Local artists who are Cultural Council members have the opportunity to exhibit their art for the public to enjoy in places that might otherwise be left baron. Approximately one month before an exhibit is installed, artists are sent a “call to artists” as an invitation to submit their work, sometimes relating to a theme. Juried selections are displayed for a three- to four-month rotating period of time.
