Art for art's sake...

ART IN PUBLIC PLACES IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING

Artists are a breed apart...we dig deep within ourselves to pull out memories, emotions, hopes, dreams, fantasies...and attempt to capture them through drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, etc. Then we share them with the world around us, laying ourselves bare for everyone to see, and critique...!

During these past 6 months, we asked you to share yourself with the Cultural Council and the community...to show us what inspired you and kept you sane, while we kept our distance from each other. Thank you for reminding us of the beauty of nature...of the dignity of the human spirit...of the potential to travel the world without leaving the comfort of our home...that creativity can flourish even when we are isolated from outside 

stimuli. I know that your efforts and results are appreciated and admired...and I, personally, am filled with gratitude that each of you embraced the challenge.
