Sometimes, when we read a great novel or story, hear a particularly moving piece of music, view a painting or sculpture or watch a play, we are transported to another place and time. Whenever this happens, our lives are forever enriched.

The Cultural Council is the designated arts agency for Indian River County.  We are the voice of the arts, and work to improve the lives of citizens and the work of artists and arts organizations in the county.

Our mission is clear… we are advocates, promoters and partners of literary, performing and visual artists.  Making art is the essence of being human; culture is the secret of survival. The Cultural Council helps people see how our collective well-being depends on recognizing the public interest in supporting the arts.
