The ACO's mission statement is: To further the cultural enrichment of Indian River, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties, while fostering performance opportunities, music appreciation, and educational services for young people by providing a regularly scheduled program of high quality, live performances of classical orchestral music played by professional musicians from Florida.  The Community Church in downtown Vero Beach has a long-standing reputation as home to high caliber musical performances. Designed for acoustics to maximize the listening and performance experience, the church regularly produces its own special concerts and programs. As part of their outreach and enrichment, Community Church hosts highly regarded musical offerings from renowned area musical groups such as Community Church Concert Series and the Indian River Symphonic Association.

Director and choreographer Andrew Currie is a Broadway dancer having performed in “Cats”, “Miss Saigon”, Starlight Express” and others as well as back up dancer for Grace Jones and Angela Lansbury. All instructors are qualified professional dance teachers. Three times a year, Broadway dancers come to Dance Space from New York to instruct Master Classes. Over 40 classes are offered during the season as well as a summer schedule. Dance Space sponsors Junior and Senior state competitions teams who have won platinum, gold and high silver awards.

Indian River Symphonic Association P. O. Box 2801, Vero Beach, FL 32961 (2/10) The Indian River Symphonic Association sponsors 7 concerts in a subscription series. Four of the concerts feature renown orchestras and in recent years have included the Royal Philharmonic, Moscow Symphony, the Jerusalem Symphony and the Russian National Orchestra. The remaining three concerts are performed by the Brevard Symphony. All performances are in the Community Church of Vero Beach, 1901 23rd Street at 7:30pm.  In 1985, Riverside Theatre became an accredited professional theatre company and is a designated Cultural Institution of the State of Florida. Riverside Theatre,Inc. provides quality professional theatre for the Treasure Coast and surrounding areas. The theatre offers year-round activities with most events occurring October thru May. The Acting Company's Mainstage series presents comedies, mysteries and large-scale musicals and the Riverside 2 series offers intimate dramas. The Actor's Cabaret is a nightclub series featuring songs and comedy and the PreViews series hosts up-and-coming entertainers. Our Distinguished Lecture Series offers political and social commentary. RCT creates a nurturing environment that provides the joy of live theatre experiences and the unique educational value of the theatrical arts to the youth of the Treasure Coast. The RCT's Professional Series brings the best children's theatrical companies to the stage of the new Anne Morton Theatre. Four productions will be presented this year. Opportunities abound for area children both on and off the stage. Locally produced shows are staged each year. The Teen Cabaret is created, produced and performed by RCT students twice a year. Workshops and classes in drama, dance, voice, technical theatre and video production are offered both during the school year and the summer. Scholarships are available.

 Since 1994 over 100 events ranging from classical rock and country bands, to orchestra and jazz series, to dance recitals and school programs have taken place at the theatre. Many organizations have used the Center for fund-raising activities.

The Treasure Boychoir & Treasure Girl Chorus is a non-profit, non-denominational cultural youth organization that provides boys & girls a chance to grow through musical learning, self-discipline, performance demeanor and working together for the common joy of singing. The choir, which celebrates the brief but magical time of a boy's life when his voice is clear and pure, gives him an opportunity to sing in an encouraging environment with social teamwork and opportunities for personal growth. Membership in the Choir requires no special skills. All boys (ages 7 to 13) must have an interest in music, an enjoyment of singing, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to regular attendance.

The Treasure Coast Chorale is a membership singing organization of those who wish to share their love and enjoyment of choral music with the Treasure Coast community. Our 85-voice group presents four innovative public concerts a year between November and May with themes ranging from Sacred, Classical and Inspirational to Popular, Irish, Broadway and Swing! All concerts are held at the First Baptist Church, 2606 16th Ave., Vero Beach, so that we may take advantage of its excellent acoustical environment as well as its media capabilities.
We love to entertain you and we would love to have you join us. We welcome all new voices with a simple audition for placement and have recently instituted a mentoring program aimed at students who love to sing. Our director is Michael Carter, a prominent local tenor, who created our chorale ten years ago. Michael's knowledge, ability and expertise in choral music educates and improves us constantly.

AGO Mission Statement The purpose of the American Guild of Organists is to promote the organ in its historic and evolving roles, to encourage excellence in the performance of organ and choral music, and to provide a forum for mutual support, inspiration, education, and certification of Guild members The Treasure Coast Chapter The Treasure Coast Chapter of the AGO consists of over 40 members who are actively pursuing the goals contained in the above mission statement. Many are Church Musicians who individually support the AGO mission in the conduct of their daily work. As a group, the Chapter promotes the AGO objectives primarily by two methods: 1. Sponsoring a season-long series of concerts, recitals, and related events featuring well-known organists as well as our own members. 2. Providing scholarship funds to promising local students to aid in their musical education. The scholarships are funded in part by collections taken at the events described above.

The Vero Beach Choral Society (VBCS) presents choral works ranging from classical masterpieces to popular music for the enjoyment and enrichment of the community. VBCS is administered by The Indian River Choral Association, Inc. (IRCA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and is governed by a board of directors whose membership is made up of singers and community representatives, all of whom are elected by the Society membership. The Vero Beach Choral Society enters its 25th Anniversary Season with performances of John Rutter's Magnificat together with traditional and contemporary a cappella choral pieces under the direction of Daniel Koh. The concerts will be given on Friday, December 11 and again on Sunday, December 13 at the Trinity Epsicopal Church in Vero Beach.

The Performing Arts Department of Vero Beach High School offers a full curriculum in the areas of Band, Chorus, Orchestra, Theatre Arts and Television Production. Approximately 25% of the student body participates in some aspect of the department. Performing Arts group from VBHS are recognized at both the state and national levels consistently receiving "Superior" ratings and "First Place" awards. The department offers advanced and honors courses in all areas including Music Theory and Keyboard Lab. The VBHS performing arts faculty and staff are pleased to annouce the completion and grand opening of our new Center for the Performing Arts.

One of the most important parts of the city of Vero Beach Recreation Department's program is the Cultural and Performing Arts Division which provides over 1,000 students each year with an exciting and educational arts experience. Over three decades of continuous performing arts classes have made the Vero Beach Recreation Department's unique program the most established and innovative, multi-disciplined program in our area. Various classes combine to build the "all around" performer. Development in gymnastics, ballet, acrobatics, cheer dance, circus, aerial, adagio; all disciplines of dance art skills; costume and set design; stage direction and production skills are taught, practiced and accomplished. One hundred percent of planning, organization, choreography, publicity and program design are prepared by the Recreation Department staff, volunteers and participants. Performing Arts classes are held in Centerstage at Leisure Square.
