The Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of the Cultural Council of Indian River County thank you for your support of arts and culture in our community.
As a Cultural Council member, your Cultural Events, Art Exhibit Openings, Community Fundraisers, Honors, Business News and other cultural topics are especially important to us. With your membership dues you are supporting vital services including community calendar coordination and event promotion, exhibits of local artwork in public buildings, and community involvement programs offering education, collaborative exchange and networking opportunities.

Community Event Planner: Our popular, 30-page full-color brochure has become THE trusted reference guide to coordinate and promote our members’ important cultural happenings in Indian River County. Its annual pre-season distribution of 10,000 copies reaches all corners of our community including our visitors.
Cultural Connection: A free, color advertisement, sponsored by Aaron’s Hearing Care, appears every Monday in the Press Journal’s Indian River County section. Our hundreds of e-mail subscribers receive it at the same ti
me. To be included, simply send us a short description and photo. E-mail submissions are preferred: in fo@cultural-council.org. The Deadline is 10 days prior to when you want the notice to appear. Example: For the May 12 ad, the deadline is May 2. Deadlines may be earlier around holidays. Please check for current information posted each Monday on our website: www.cultural-council.org.
CCIRC Website: Your information can be sent anytime to info@cultural-council.org with “website update” in the subject line. Attach photos to the e-mail if desired. Members can update their listing at anytime. We also offer a link from our website to yours. Our website address is: www.cultural-council.org.
Links to Ot her Places: Within 48 hours of receiving your information, the date is posted on our online calendar. From there, event information also reaches the Indian River Chamber of Commerce calendar, the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and other publications that draw from our website.
Radio Promotion: Two popular local radio programs publicize CCIRC members’ events. The Rhett Palmer Show (1370 AM) plays the cultural calendar each weekday from 8-10 am and it is aired again from 3-5 pm. A pre-view of upcoming events is featured on Bob Soos’ Morning Magazine interview (1490 AM) every Thursday morning at 8:50 am.
Cultural Information Center: Brochures, flyers & announcements are displayed in our office in Downtown Vero Beach. We often have visitors seeking information and ideas on things to do. Due to space limitations, we ask that you provide up to 50 copies.
Opportunities for Networking: Through our Cultural Advisory Committee, we sponsor educational events and various opportunities to network with other cultural supporters and nonprofits. Our meetings are always open to the public. Look for postings on the front page of our website.
Honor Those Who Advance the Arts: Members are eligible to nominate Indian River County cultural leaders for the annual Laurel Awards program. These awards have recognized a diverse range of cultural excellence in our county since 1995.
