Thompson Elementary Art Club Mural
Artists Lis Bech-Larsen and Caui Lofgren designed and painted this mural after the Students of the Thompson Elementary Art Club took a field trip to downtown Vero Beach and created drawings of their impressions relevant to the history, culture and economy of the city and county. Their drawings were then digitized and arranged into a new design for this mural which is located on the North Wall of the East Lobby of the Main Library.
This project represents the efforts of a broad coalition of interests working to improve Vero Beach and Indian River County. They include: Main Street Vero Beach, the City of Vero Beach, Indian River County, Indian River County School District, the Cultural Council of Indian River County, Vero Beach Museum of Art, the Indian River County Historical Society and several local businesses and clubs.
